Former Black Cab Factory

The former London Taxi manufacturing plant in Coventry is set to be demolished after the city council gave the plans the green light. The site in Holyhead Road will be knocked down after the company relocated to a new base in Antsy in 2017. The approval comes after an application to transform the site into more than 100 new homes with withdrawn while other bids to knock down the buildings were also aborted.

The demolition of the derelict and hazardous 1960’s L-shaped office block in Dudley was completed in under 20 weeks. The building comprised two wings, a central core containing double lift shafts & a large stair core.

HCD Ltd secured the project to demolish the 9 acres former Butler and Tanner Printworks to make way for 185 new houses.

Crown Works

HCD Ltd were awarded the contract to clear the 15 acre – Metal Box factory in Worcester for a national house builder to make way for 257 new houses. Extensive consultation with Network Rail was necessary as the main Worcester to London rail line ran parallel with the site boundary.
