Butler & Tanner Printworks

HCD Ltd secured the project to demolish the 9 acres former Butler and Tanner Printworks to make way for 185 new houses.

The works involved removing 250 tonnes of cement Asbestos sheeting & a large quantity of HSE licensed materials.

Also included was the removal of a large above ground water storage tank which was sited within close proximity of a Network Rail & overhead HV power lines.

The contractors then proceeded to break out the basement areas & 6m deep foundations which were crushed on-site into 6F2 client reusable material.

The 470K project was carried out within the 20-week timescale with complete client satisfaction.
